Because buying a painting or drawing is such a personal thing I want to be able to provide a personal service to support your decision. In every single situation where someone has bought one of my paintings or drawings they have said that is looks so much more in real life than in a photograph. This is mainly due to different browsers, screen settings and devices. So I think it is important that you can have a chance to ask me questions or arrange to see the work before you buy.
Below are a few notes on how I intend to support the aim of meeting your requirements so that you can be confident in your purchasing decision and the delivery / returns process.
Can I arrange to view the art before I buy it?
Yes, in most situations it may be possible to arrange for you to view the art work for real.
All my buyers to date have said that seeing the work in real life they have found it to be so much more beautiful than from a photo. No matter how well a painting is photographed, it never looks quite the same on different people’s screens because of different browsers, screen settings and devices. Up close to a painting or drawing you can appreciate all the detail, marks and texture within a work.
I am very happy to invite people to my home studio if you don’t live too far away.
If it is not possible for you to view the work in person, we could arrange a video so that I can show you the work in more detail.
How do I pay for the artwork?
I would prefer a direct bank transfer, if possible, or some people prefer to pay cash for the smaller works.
Is shipping included in the price?
No, I haven’t included shipping as it depends on where you live and your requirements. In some cases, especially within a radius of 17 miles or so from where I live, it might be possible for me to deliver that art work for a very small fee to cover petrol.
Once you have made a decision we can discuss the best way to get your art work to you and what any delivery costs will be.
Currently I only deliver art works in the United Kingdom.
What about returning an artwork if necessary?
Sometimes a painting doesn’t quite sit as happily in the space you intended for it. I am happy to take returns of artwork within 14 days of purchasing as long as they are returned in excellent condition. Contact me to let me know you wish to return the art work and we can arrange a refund. You will be responsible for packing the art and arranging to use the same delivery service the art work was sent to you. Once I have received the artwork back I will send your refund within 14 days.
If the artwork arrives to you in a damaged condition please take photographs of the state of the packaging and the artwork and contact me within 14 days. I take every care possible to wrap the artwork as safely and securely as I can but we know that sometimes deliveries don’t always go as we would like. We can then arrange an alternative if you like or a full refund.
